Food Store and Bistrò

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan

This project is located in the largest metropolitan city of Kazakhstan and is therefore frequented by many young people in search of trendy atmospheres. It has an integrated multifunctional approach where different functions such as food store, wine shop, restaurant and wine bar come together to work in unison. Consumers can use the food store and the wine cellar for daytime shopping, while in the evening and at night the bistro and wine bar become more active, keeping the place always busy.

Wine shop and food store

The food store design uses modern and clear materials for the different specialistic fresh produce areas, such as the bakery, delicatessen and butcher's store, which act as points of attraction for the entire store. The cellar is designed to recall the look of an Italian tavern revisited in a modern way, with exposed metal structures. Decorative lighting is designed with glass from wine bottles for added atmosphere in the space.

Wine bar

The wine bar serves as an informal place for locals to gather in a nighttime setting. The spirit of the bar is reflected in the subtle lines and color palette; the space has its own inviting and contemporary identity. Exposed displays and backlit walls make it more enticing and interesting from the outside as well.
